Hello,

Earlier this year I posted a thread asking for reconmendations for building parts with a budget of around 800$(something along those terms). I have decided to go for a cheaper budget of around £300(pounds). If someone could please reconmend a list components please, either on ebuyers.co.uk or dabs.co.uk. You could you also right it down aswell because I will be getting the things through a friend.

i will put a build list together for you,but will need to know the following.

1)What will you be using the pc for? normal everyday internet? general use?

2)is the £300 budget for just the base or do you need monitor aswell?

3)need an Operating system?
 
Infact make that £350 and it will be used for gaming and I most likely need a OP unless I can directly use Linex. and that is without the monitor
 
hmm £350 for a gaming rig is a real tight budget im afraid but il see what i can do.

what games do you plan on playing?

and forget Linux if your gaming,you can use Wine or whatever the heck its called but they dont always run.
you would probably be better with Xp.
 
yeah ok how about £450 at the most. Um I would probaby play cod4 and some other games once i get into gaming. I would like to be able to upgrade it and play games that come up in the future.

Okay this is alot better

It will play cod4 maxed

with the leftover cash you could probably change the hard drive to a better one with more cache as thats very slow what i listed but would get the job done until you can afford a bigger and better one.

also the dvd writer is cheap,but it should get the job done no probs.....LG are good make anyway.
 
you are welcome,like i said i wont be suprised if someone comes along with a better list then me so before you order anything post it up on here for the guys to check it over. ;)

Get GA-P31-DS3L instead.

You need to specify the location!
The Gigabyte P31 in UK is £40, MSI P45 is £70. Looking at the orginal list of £370 overall, can't justify to pay extra £30.
