Cheapest build help...

Can someone help me put together a build for my friend. Its gotta be the cheapest thing you can make but still play sc2 (lowest settings is ok). The system he's using now bogs down to like 2-3fps if there are more than 5 units lol. Won't need optical, os, monitor, or case.

thanks for the build it looks pretty good! current system is outdated not worth upgrading, he has a geforce 7600 i think his dad has a 4670 and it is better but still bombs out with huge battles so it may be 'in' as a cheap choice. maybe a little bit more if he has a few extra bucks. he basically doesn't want to fight with the set up he has i want to say its a early make amd dual core but i dont know which one. i think he can justify $500 for the whole thing but not much more. he was looking at a build somewhere that was phenom II x4 w/4gb ram @ $399 but no video card. so if we add 100 for that we get the $500ish, just trying to see if we can get better stuff for the same price.

I went with the latter.

you could go with the x4 640 and the Gig. 880G and bring it down to $464

I have a similar problem, BUT: I'm thinking to build around 10 to 12 sets, 3 of which will be used for graphic's and the rest for daily office work. Need some help with finding some cheap components (from China or something like that).
