Cheapish gaming/student laptop

I posted earlier about some possible upgrades to my current rig i'm using, however, the oldies have just offered to go halves on a laptop so i may as well exploit that opportunity! I've found a couple of laptops and i would be very grateful if you guys could have a look at a couple i've found and see what you think? There may be some others on the net that you know of.

Sainsburys near me (believe it or not!) has a couple of Acers on offer at the mo! Might wanna check those out, they seemed pretty competitively speced/priced. Doug.

They don't make notebooks they Contract with ODM's. That said if they give crap specs they make crap systems. I hope DeLL has learned. They do have excellent warranties and return policies having the most experience the business. One of 5 companies is making theirs and 90% of all others you buy.

If you actually follow from any unbiased perspective. While hard to argue about who is worse DeLL or HP. It is blazingly clear that while those two companies fight for last toilet flush rights. Acer on a major upswing. Not just in market share (passed DeLL) but quality/customer satisfaction/warranty coverage.

I still go DeLL in this post. HP wins the last crap award IMHO.:D;)
