Check My Drive

hi guys first post here =], i have a problem wit my drive well here it is

First off.. heres my spec...

Intel P4 3.0
MSI Mobo
512MB of RAM
80 Samsung GB

let me know if you need further info.

heres the problem... lately my computer acts so slow.. when i check at www.pcpitstop.com, it says low disk performance.. and then after that i shut down my computer.. sometimes IT wont go back to windows... theres a bootup screen but when it about to enter windows, theres a quick bsod and restarts. and now when i open certain folders.. it says drive x is not formatted.. i am certainly sure that my drive is broken.

what do you think happens to the computer?
 
run a scandisk and do a full surface scan too. it sounds like there is some corruption on the drive.
also, if that doesn't help you might want to format the drive and reinstall windows. if you still have problems after that you're gonna need a new hard drive
 
i tried chkdsk when windows starts... there are couple # that said unreadable T_T and guess how many times ive reformated it? hehe over 10 times i think

like what brand, in or external? hehe
