Give me some critical feedback on this computer build I'm doing. This is to be a gaming styem.

Motherboard: CHAINTECH NVIDIA nForce4 Ultra Chipset Motherboard For AMD Socket 939 CPU, Model "VNF4/Ultra" -RETAIL

CPU: AMD Athlon 64 3500+ / 512KB Cache / 2000 MHz FSB / Socket 939 / Processor

Sound Card: Creative Labs Sound Blaster Audigy 2 OEM Sound Card - the motherboard comes with Audio:
The S1689 comes with a Realtek AC'97 audio codec with 6 Channel support.

Video Card: XFX GeForce 6600 / 256MB DDR / AGP 8X / Dual DVI / TV Out / Video Card

Memory: Ultra 1024MB PC3200 DDR 400MHz Memory (or should I go with 2sticks of 512 or 2 sticks of 1024?)

Tower: Diablo ATX Mid-Tower Case with 450Watt Power Supply, Front Neon Lights, Front USB and Audio Ports

HD: Hitachi / 160GB / 7200 / 8MB / ATA-100 / EIDE / OEM / Hard Drive

HD Cooling: Vantec Vortex Hard Drive Cooling System (Black)

Speakers: Cyber Acoustics CA-5001 5.1 Digital Ready Subwoofer and Satellite System - if you can recommend something better and smaller that would be great!

Premium / 500-Watt / ATX / Dual 80mm / 24-Pin / Continuous Power / SATA Ready / Black / Power Supply

might be fine but am not a big fan of chaintech I would trust anouther name more. This is mainly base with some bad experiences with chaintech.

If this a gamming system I would highly recommend getting the geforce 6600GT instead if you can aford it.

I agree with Praetor 2 sticks. Proberly 2 stick of 512 will be enough.
 
What about an ASUS motherboard instead. What would be a comparible MB.

Prat. I see you upgraded. I haven't been around for awhile do you like your new system?

Well all the nforce4 ultra chipset motherboard I like cost a bit more.

some I like thoe is
GIGABYTE "GA-K8N Ultra-9"
DFI "LANPARTY UT nF4 Ultra-D" (nice feature with it is you can easily mod it to a sli I been told)
MSI "K8N Neo4 Platinum"
