Chipset and brand relationship

If several brands have the exact same chipset on their video cards, will they vary a significant amount in performance?

I know this is a very vague question, so I apologize :o
 
some brands already offer overclocked versions of cards that significantly increase performance over stock clock cards.

i don't know if this is what you wanted to know about. :o
 
Some manufacturers use higher end coolers, some use waterblocks, some are factory overclocked, some are overclocked higher, and some are for the name itself.

When a video card first comes out, they are usually all around the same price, within a few months the prices will differ even more.
