Can anyone tell me if the Northe Brige or South Brige controles the speed of these things?

SATA Hard Drive Ports.
PCI Express Slots.
Keyboard and Mouse Ports.
E SATA Port.

How can Southbridge controle speed from Keyboard and Mouse and SATA Hard Drives.

SATA is very fast and Mous and Keyboard are slow serial ports??

And pci express is fast

I think all the slow things are on one Brige and all the fast things are on the other brige?

Right or how do they work??
