Socket 7. was I think a Pentium CPU

I know it had th L2 on the motherboard but was it connected to the Northbridge directly?

And was the AGP and RAM conected to the Northbridge as well

You could use a AMD and Intel on a Socket 7.

Yes the processor has to access it through the N/B. Thats the reason it was so slow. When AMD put L2 on the processor it made the boards cache L3.

Yes the Memory had to be accessed through the N/B and the AGP bus was controlled through the N/B.

Just to see if I have it right for Socket 7. Chipset systems.

The Pentium CPU is connected to the Nothbridge along with th Main memory and AGP and L2.

All of these are connecdted to the northbridge.

So the all run at the same speed more or less as the CPU so they called it the Front Side BUS but it is the CPU BUS.

These is what I just looked up am I right??????
