Chipset for Amd 64?

I will be running a 3000 amd64 and I was wanting to know what is the best chipset to run with this processor or any processor in general. I am wanting to know which is better between the n-force 250 and the VIA K8T800 + VT8237? I am going to be running a 754 socket so it seems these are all I have to choose from. Any help would be appreciated.

I would take an nforce over any VIA chipset but I don't like VIA at all, so my opinion is a little biased :)

For now i'd concur with the NF3-250 but in a month or two, that'll change to NF4 :)

Yes but what chipset would you get if you (a) hate PCIe and/or (b) dont have PCIe?

it's easy
1-why you heat it!! PCie is more powerful than AGP8x_ bandwidth that is 4 times faster than AGP 8X.
2-if you don't have PCIe you can put your old viedo card.
3- SLI Chipset have a SLI Technology that mean you can put double veido cards!! you can play on the bios!!!
see:
if you wnat more information about PCIe http://www.tomshardware.com/motherboard/20041130/index.html

i doubt there will be a motherboard using the NF4 chipset using the sockel 754 though, but i could be wrong. that's what he said he planned on using, either a 2800+ or 3000+ socket 754 processor.

And all that speed will be ... um ... used?

No [worthwhile] PCIe boards have AGP slots ... so if you manage to come up with a way to install my AGP card into the PCIe board lemme know

1. So I couldnt play in BIOS if i didnt have SLI?
2. Not all of us have our parents to pay for computers or swim in zillions of dollars
