sup fellas,
my compter is really screwed at the moment, my internet does not work.
firstly, i thought iit was my modem so i bought i new one, didnt work. my computer says im connected with 100Mbps.. but, when i click the internet icon nothing happens.. it says i am not connected to the internet check your connection blah blah.. i dont want to reformatt my computer because ive have so much stuff its not funny.
cAan you guys help me?

Okay... I'm assuming you have high-speed and you're connecting to the internet through a LAN, correct? And the modem you bought was a new DSL or cable modem?
 
well try gettin some virus scans or malware/spy ware scans on it. see if that helps. also, are u using IE? just check ur network connections in ur control panel and defrag ur drive. might help a little, just a jump start to reli work on wats goin on.

What you just said makes no sense at all, I dont think you should be giving advice to anyone....



First of all yes he is connecting through a lan.. The 100mbps you speak of is the router connection your computer detetcs. I am thinking your router is not connecting, or there maybe a problem between your router/modem. did you try pluggin the modem cord directly into the computer and making sure the internet works? If so make sure all your settings in the router are correct. Let us know how that goes.
