Choosing Best Anti-Virus

Hello, I need to get good anti-virus software with a very good firewall built in (for vista).
Every different website or forum says different things about different packages.
What is your favourite anti-virus software and why? This might help me choose.

Avira is one of the best free Anti-Viruses but it doesnt come with a firewall.
I have been using Avira Anti-Vir for 8 years and never really had a problem
ZoneAlarm is one of the best Firewalls.
I dont use it anymore but I always thought highly of it.

I have tried different anti-virus software.

If you want a FREE but good anti-virus then you should use Avast! Home Edition. It worked better than AVG (another popular free anti-virus) on my computer.

If you are willing to pay, get Nod32. You won't regret purchasing it because I've been using it for months now and it's good at both detecting and cleaning threats.
 
For me AVAST is good but it slow down your system a little bit...
Zone Alarm Security Suite is All-In One.
 
i find that AVG has worked the best for me.

mind you i do have the full version that has all the security stuff not just antivirus. AVG free is alright but not the best
 
But if you want to be really safe... No need for any Anti-Virus software... Just DeepFreeze it mhan! Peace of Mind!

LMAO, dont get too confident. I got a some sort of crap-ware and it wrote itself to another partition and decided to embed itself into the steam launcher. Long story short, i had to re-download 10gb of games :P
 
You should look for either Norton or Zona alarm. Norton is a bit heavy but it is really worth using. Zone alarm comes with firewall but i don't know whether it provides any antivirus protection.

oh yeah even if i don't like Norton , version 2007 is good.:o
or you have other alternatives like Avira,AVG,Nod32 etc etc ;)
 
As said above from users get avast antivirus and get ZoneAlarm free edition for A firewall.

Or if you dont want to use a Anti-Virus get Linux a free non virus vulnerable OS .. Try to Boot windows with Linux just incase.
