Hi,

my current graphics card is a nvidia 7900gs

Amount of Ram 256MB
Ram Type GDDR3
Memory Speed 660MHz
Memory Width 256
Clock Speed 450MHz

I was looking at getting a silent card if possible, ive found the asus 3650

Amount of Ram 512MB
Ram Type DDR2
Memory Speed 1000MHz
Memory Width 128
Clock Speed 725MHz

The asus is only selling for £33 so my question is is there something else im missing on the asus as it seems like a really good price.

If that card is rubbish i was thinking of spending up to £60 maybe slightly over if its good. It will be used for gaming but would prefer a larger fan to keep noise down or no fan.

Apart from the information i got about the two cards above, is there any other information on the cards i should be comparing?

Thanks for you help! i need it!

I have

amd 64 X2 5200+ 2.71GHz
3GB DDR2 6400 Memory
Not sure on motherboard but its a asus with a pci-e. The board is about 4-5 months old

If you got a 7900GS I would not go with a 3650, really not that much better, just directX 10. How much are you willing to spend?

What is that about 120 bucks? If so something like a 8800GT/9800GT or maybe a 3870 but its alittle slower. Dont know what cards run there but if that over your price something like a 9600GT, its just a relabled 8800GS.

Thats a 9600GSO not a GT. I got the other post wrong a 9600GSO not a GT is the same thing as a 8800GS. Pretty much a toss up, the 9600GSO core is probable faster but its only has 192 bit memory with 384mbs. and the 3850 has 256 bit memory with 512mbs.
