Choosing for a Built

Ok, so my brother won't be available to help me build a custom and don't know anybody else who's capable of doing it.

He gave me a couple of links to sellers on ebay who sells custom built desktops and you can choose the options yourself. My budget is $700 and I need some suggestions.

This seller has already pre-built ones and I just need to get an OS system for it. I've seen a couple of new video cards that came out. I think I prefer ATI and looking at the 5770 if I don't like this 9400GT that comes with these 2 desktops.

Are you willing to build? The 955 build sucks in my op. Bad MOBO, iso400 PSU is probably $19 tops, etc.

Total $915. Honestly you can cut some costs out of here but you will have a much, much, better computer. I know it is over the price by $200 but it would be a better build. None of these are top of the line parts but they are decent. Maybe someone can help cut some costs out.

Do I need to change the power supply for it? I read somewhere that usually people bump it up to 650W? Just wanna make sure I get it right.
 
I don't mind building but I'm afraid of messing up. I've never done it before.

If the case fits, the new total would be 898.81.

What about Phenom II X4 965 instead of i5? I'm not knocking your suggestion or anything, I just like AMD better.
I've been choosing different options all night.. trying to find a good combination within my budget.

The 4670 is ok, but I'd go for a more modern card. If you ever decide to move away from Source games, you'll be thankful for it. Here's my go:

You seem to have found some good deals....if you can post links to them we may be able to get you a monster system for the price. You shouldn't need the sound card...most good motherboards support 7.1.

I'm on their link of Phenom II Gamer. They give you options to choose but it doesn't save so I have to write it down every time I do my comparisons.

Ok, here's the options I've chosen based on what you've given me up top and the total comes out to $685.75 including the OS.

For the price...well I think you know already.

(By the way, I found this by looking up all of the products on ewiz and pricing shipping to Celebration...so it should be accurate)

No problem :)

Just make sure to get the mobo and GPU soon...the rebates end after tomorrow, so they may or may not still be the best option for the price. Sometimes they just renew the rebate (OCZ always does this), but sometimes its really only a limited-time offer. If you can't, I'll look it over again when you're ready to order to see if there's a better option. :good:
