These are the specs of my computer.
AMD Athlon 64 3200+ Processor
512 MB (Dual Channel 2x256MB) DDR (PC 3200)
ATI Radeon Xpress 200 (PCI-Express) 128MB Shared Video Memory
I plan on upgrading my ram to 1 GB, but I have no clue which to buy. I know it has to be PC 3200, but is there anything else I have to look for when buying one? I'm thinking of replacing my 2x256 with 2x512.
I will be upgrading my video card to a 7600GT.
Also, I don't know if I saw this on cpu-z or some other program, it said the computer was using(or something like that) 382 MB of ram. Does anyone know why it would say that? I mean I have 512 MB, so why would it say 382 MB?
I have a pre-built computer, so if I replace the hard drive, will I have to buy a new OS CD just to install it? Is there some way of transferring the system restore(?) or something similar to the new hard drive?
Thanks for any help.
