Choosing RAM

Hey,

I'm building a low - mid range gaming pc and was wondering whether it's best to buy 2 sticks of this 2gb RAM - Kingston 2GB 800MHz/PC2-6400 Memory Unbuffered Non-ECC CL6 1.8V or pay a bit more to get one such as the Corsair 4GB (2x2GB) DDR2 800MHz/PC2-6400 XMS2 DHX Performace Memory CL4 2.1V for my ASUS P5N-D nForce 750i SLI Socket 775 8 channel audio ATX Motherboard. As far as I can tell the Kingston memory has no heat sink but the Corsair does. Should I go for memory that has a heatsink?

Thanks.

Sorry for straightaway avoiding your question, but does your socket 775 Mobo support DDR3? It's Marginally more expensive but a fair bit faster than DDR2

Aslong as you have sufficent cooling (i.e. fans/liquid), you shouldn't need a RAM heatsink, but if you like you can purchase an after market one, but thermal paste is always best :P
I would get whatever is cheapest, but if they were the same price, I Would get the Corsair, not because of the heatsink, but simply because it comes in a kit of 2 - both sticks are guaranteed to arrive together :)

Because it's the best for my budget. I'm not looking for an overly powered pc, just one that is good enough for my needs.
