I just got a new HP laptop and I'm trying to record sound on it. I've used three different programs and I have the same problem with each: the sound comes out garbled and choppy sounding. It sounds fine for the first three seconds or so and then the sound fades in and out and garbles up. This happens no matter what I try to record and I tried the built-in mics and an external mic and I get the same problem. Please show me how to fix this!
