Chrome Opening shortcuts in background

Hello,

When I open shortcuts from my computer, Chrome is not coming to the front, no matter if it is currently open or not. It opens behind all my other programs.

Is there any way to force Chrome to the front when using these shortcuts? When I open chrome from the task bar it comes to the front properly.

Thanks!

to clarify... when you have other windows open , when you open chrome it never displays in front? Is that what you mean?

Are you using windows 7 x64 Enterprise?

Yes, and even without other windows, it doesn't become the active task. I can see it open in front of me, even a blinking cursor, but if I start typing, it won't appear in the browser. It's just there in the background.

Thanks for trying to help.

It was a clean install of Chrome -- so I'm on the newest version. You think I should try an older one?

One distinction is that I use a shortcut via my Logitech keyboard macro keys. So I press a "g key" and that brings me to gmail.com, for example.

Should make no difference though, these were working just like regular shortcuts when I had firefox.
