Chrome windows turn black

I noticed that when I leave google chrome windows opened for more than about 10 minutes they all turn black and I can't do anything untill I resize them, then the websites re-appear, this didn't happen when I was using win xp (now I'm using win 8)... Is this some kind of an energy saving setting, or is it just my graphics card acting funky with google chrome? (if it's the graphics card I won't bother fixing it cause it's not worth it since everything starts working again when I re-size the window)
 
That's the thing, it doesn't stop working, it turns black but as soon as I grab the window and move it around it goes back to its normal look...

Yes aero is on, and no I do not have any themes installed, though I just did a little research and it seems like it's normal for the gts 250 to act a little weird with windows 8 cause it's an older card and it's not exactly made for windows 8...
