Cisco networking

ok as of earlier next month, if all goes well, i will be attending the CISCO NETWORKING course.
has anybody done Cisco course or any of it's modules ?
are they tough or what do they look for really in students enrolling ?

I took one back during Highschool. It was rather tough... A fair amount of command line configurations were required for the routers, subnetting (I can ramble off almost all my powers of two now :P) Eh...and other things but those are what stand out the most.

I have since been enrolled in other classes at college that are also networking, but none have come even close to being as intensive or difficult, which is good because I'm a step ahead of the class :P I know this semester we have to configure routers, but they're actually old Dell Optiplex 240/260's with Debian and two NICs installed :P

Well, I am attending Cisco Fast Track course,
IP routing, subnetting also good stuff to study
The difficulties start with Dynamic protocols such as EIGRP, OSPF, and things like that
but it worth being challenged to it.

yeah, anyway it's good to learn new stuff, but hopefully i won't screw :P

Cisco 10 years ago a headache, cisco stuff now, not that hard. I barely know cisco because I never have to deal with at work, we have a Cisco guy that does all of it. However, the little stuff I have configured on cisco I pretty much just guess my way through it with my current knowledge and google told me the rest.

it only gets complicated when you have a huge network with spanning tree, port fast, and tons and tons of VLANs. However, even then its not rocket science.

thanks for the input guys, i will let you know if everything is ok, or if am accepted.anyways
the course i suppose to be on Saturdays from 8 to 12pm (geez 4 hours straight, thats soo not me)
