Civilization IV question??

In my city menu it says that people are unhappy because it is too crowded. I don't know how to loose population in order to make my citizens happier. What do I do?
 
Build more living quarters ,buildings, condos, apartments or whatever.:P
make city bigger. and kill a cow so i can have a steak ;)




....im not faniliar with the game though
 
lol... thanks for the advice, but tried it. I think that it just always says that no matter how big it is. It would be kinda stupid and unrealistic if there were no unhappy people in the city... it would kind of make the city part of the game very easy. But maybe there is a way?
