I want to totally wipe a hard drive, so I can use it as just storage. I don't want to have windows or anything on it. I know I can format the drive with my xp disk. BUT, that leaves XP on it right? Thanks

No it doesnt. You can just reformatt and chose not to install XP.

Also, if the drive is plugged in, there is an alternative method. Find the drive in My computer, right click, and select format.

You can't format a drive with windows on it if windows is running but a quick or full format will do the job if you are using a different windows install (ie. you are running windows off of a different drive).
