cleaning a mac

hi, a friend of mine has an imac g4 and shes had it for about 2 or 3 years and its running really slow. is there something similar to what pc's have? we have disk defrag and do they have something similar and if so how do you do it? thanks all! need any more info just say! cheers!!!

well yes you probably need do defrag just like a pc if nothing has been done for years and before you defrag clean up junk files. I don't know the exact programs for mac though.
