I have an LCD that's very dirty, I mean it literally has DIRT on it, and it's a little bit spread around the screen. Don't ask me how it got dirty. But does anybody know a good way to clean it?

Nail polish remover? That's what I use to clean thermal grease off my CPU with. :D

Is the dirt stuck on hard? If so, you'll need to be careful when trying to remove it...

I'd use windex or something like that, spray some on a paper towel and "blotch" it. If you rub too much, you might scratch the screen. Once you get most of it off, then you

How about sticking it in a washing up bowl and leaving it to soak? :P

Yes you'll have to be careful, as dirt basically consists of scratchy grains and you don't want to do any further damage when removing it. Is it encrusted on the surface, or is it easy to wipe off?

Many people say Windex is too abrasive, but it's all I've ever used on my LCDs... Perhaps I'm slowly killing them, but they still work just fine for me ;)

Sure, I'll try that. :P

It has a somewhat grainy consistency, but it isn't caked on there. I have some cloths from staples that I bought that are supposed to be lint free, so I will try using those along with Windex, carefully.
