ok i have a new heatsink id like to install, to clean the cpu..

is rubbing alchohol perfectly fine? or is closest to 100% the best?

where can i get that close to 100 stuff if i need it?

urine and a wire brush

seriously...

You could probably try google and get a bajillion hits...

Isopopyl alcohol works good, or the Arctic Siler cleaning stuff.

Be sure to use a Lint Free cloth, to prevent anything getting in about the freshly applied AC5, or whatever you use :)

Oh, and as close to 100% is best, as any water can snook a computer really :P

Dude, you can submerge the thing in water and it will still be good. It just has to be 100% dry before using again. You cant get 100% alcohol at least i don't think, but yeah rubbing alcohol is good. that's what i used. and no, arctic silver 5 is no longer the best, studies show that zelman i think it is, does a little better...studies also show that it cost more too....

rubbing alchohol is Isopropyl alchohol... btw i mentioned using rubbing alch and asked where to get some thats near 100%, found 99.9% at the pharmacy. thanks for giving me a smart ass coment tho dude

70% is said to have skin oils/lubricants because its used on cuts, thats why I went ahead and got 100%, :)

Just use qtips and the 100% and you should be good. Just remember to wait for it to dry, which shouldn't take too long.
