cleaning external hard drive

I've moved almost all the files and folders to thumb drives, thereby leaving the EHD virtually empty.

When I right-click to properties, it still shows that there's little free space.

Any ideas why it's still showing little free space?

Download and run WinDirStat and scan the drive to see what is taking up the space.

that download just kept asking for me to register and pay. Plus, it automatically started scanning, and wouldn't let me select the EHD.

Maybe i didn't download the right program?

I think I found the problem.

There were multiple backup sets occupying 196 GB, and another folder called WindowsImageBackup occupying 150 GB. Not sure what to do with that one, but I'm deleting all but the most current of the backup sets. No need for 3 backup sets that I know of.
