cleaning LCD monitor

I have tried many home grown solutions and quite a few commercial cleaners and have found out that although some cleaners work better than others, no cleaner I have found "completely" removes streaks from a lcd monitor. Some cleaners leave streaks that are only visible when light hits it from a certain angle but they are still there. I have to admit that I may be a little obsessive about the streaks but my monitor wasnt cheap. Has anyone else come to this conclusion?

Did you try windex and paper towels? That's usually streak free, and I don't know why it would be a problem. If you really can't get rid of the streaks, try newspaper and vinegar. Seriously.

I have to admit that I havent tried windex and newspaper and probably wont. Actually, I had an older LCD monitor at work that I did use windex on and it did leave streaks. They had to be polished out with a soft cloth and once again, they never really were eliminated, besides, i hear that windex is bad for the long term life of a monitor. Newspaper is WAY too abrasive.
