I've been thinking, of cleaning out my Laptop of dust because it overheats.
Anyone know a Good way to clean it out?. Brand Name. Something.

9Months ago I cleaned it out with Air Compressor. Like 20Gallon, Tank Blowing Air, strong enough to blow off my keyboards keys (Which it did) . I don't wanna do that again. =\ Lol.

lol i would say air commpressor because i use one but if you really dont want, you can buy caned air for like 10$ at most computer stores

it should have a regulator on it. and im glad that they have put the age restriction. that stuff is nasty

Yeah, It does, But I never adjusted it. Thanks didn't think about that. I thought the regulator was for how much pressure I want in the tank. I'm gonna lower the pressure down and maybe clean out my laptop tomorrow.

They put the age restriction because people were using the air as a "drug". Anyways, I used over a full can of air on my old laptop, so clean it often, or it will get a lot of dust.

i'd take the laptop apart. it' not going to be a full teardown but just to expose some critical parts. on my vaio laptop i would do the following:

for the cpu locate the heatsink and fan. on my laptop the heatsink and fan are located in their own compartment on the back side and will look like a long copper arm running across the laptop and ends at the fan. blow both compoents with compressed air. after that wipe the heatsink with a damp cloth preferably with alcohol.

remove the backside of the laptop i'd blow the motherboard with cmpressed air.

then on the front side of the laptop i'd remove the palmrest and keyboard. this would expose the hdd, vidcard, and parts of the mobo on my laptop. i'd blow with compressed air again.
