Hey... I want to sell my current PC when I build my new one, but I need to get all the apps and files and everything off of the PC. Is there any way to do this without erasing the Windows XP Home (SP2) OS?

The best way would be to just format and then reinstall XP.

I got a Gateway PC , so the OS Windows XP Home Edition disk that came with it should reinstall it , right?

Yes but when you do it select clean install. As that will reformat as well as in stall the OS. selecting upgrade will usually just leave the hard drive as it is
