Okay vcore wont change and i'm trying to oc to 3.0 im at 2.9 right now stable.

ram divider is 4:5 everything with the ram is good. its fast at 750

my mobo is a GA-EP35-DS3L and i keep hearing that the vcore wont rise unless you clear the cmos. It has a cmos jumper and i was wondering if i take a screwdriver to it if it will reset it and not screw anything up.

if you clear the cmos wont you loose all your overclocking settings?

clearing that means you drop the bios back to the standard settings like when you bought it?

I don't know. I really hope I can up the vcore I just need confirmation if it's okay to take a screwdriver to the CMOS jumper. Gigabyte says I have to clear the CMOS in order for the vcore to stick.

To clear the CMOS, take the battery out and leave it for 30 secs to 1 min and the place it back in.

you dont use a screwdriver lol-use a pair of tweezers or something-

i can gte mine with my fingers, takes a bit time but it saves accidents with metal objects.

I just pop out my battery when I need to clear mine. It has a little metal tab at the bottom and I push it down and the battery pops out. Yes....you will loose all settings when you clear CMOS. Most have a function to save the settings you have. Or just write them all down so you know what you had in there :)

No clearing the bios will not give you more voltage options. But it will set everything back to default and you will have to start all over.

+1, which means all of your overclocking settings will be gone.

With the Gigabyte motherboard, I'm sure you are familiar with pressing CTRL+F1 to give you more options in the BIOS right?

That is one thing alot of people dont know about Gigabyte (CTRL+F1 ). The boards that I have bought in the last year or two even have it in the manual, in the past Gigabyte use to seem like they were trying to hide the feature. The options that are opened vary by board models, but it would be worth a try.

I'm not trying to make new options, im trying to get it to where the Vcore will stick and not reset everytime i go into windows.

I have an E2180 and right now i have it at 2.9, I checked a 15 hr stable Orthos test on it to see if it was good 32/46 temps. but I HAVE to up the vcore in order to stable it at 3ghz it wouldnt stay stable in orthos for 3 seconds. Im stable with 1.3250 right now which is stock. But everytime I raise the vcore in bios it doesn't show in windows. It just shows 1.2960 in cpuz.
