click of death?

every now and then my hard drive makes a loud clicking sound which sounds like somethings scraping in there. its only just started it. there have been other posts that have a similar problem and theyve said its the "click of death" so should i get the dvds out and start backing everything up?
 
Hehe, well, I guess the "Click of Death" is fitting. If you're sure it's coming from your hard drive, then you definetly should back everything up...
 
LOL..this reminds me something, when i bought my so called XPS "$3000" dell, it came with a 500GB HD with clicks.......it broke in 2 weeks

I refunded the XPS
