Clicking Hard Drive

I built a computer back in August, and since them I have experienced a few problems here and there. I recently added 3 fans to my computer, and my computer was working fine for maybe 3 days. After that I often hear a clicking sound. I have come to the conclusion that it must be coming from my hard drive. It is a 160gb hard drive (it's a SATA hard drive made by either Sony or Toshiba). Basically wondering if there is anything I can do to get it to stop. Also, upon restarting my copmuter, it tells me that there is a disk boot failure.

You could defragment. That will help stop the clicking noises. The clicking noise should stop. To defrag press start>All programs>accesories>system tools>defragment. Then press defrag. If that doesnt help, you may have something using your hdd. The clicking is natural though, all hdd's do it, just a matter of how loud it is.

i think motoxrdude has got the wrong idea, if by clicking you mean the normal noise of a HDD then its fine, but anythign louder than that, then BACKUP NOW, your HDD is on its way to the big pit of oblivion, BACKUP NOW AND SOURCE A NEW DRIVE. that sound is not good at all....
