Clicks and Pops

Just bought a new pc, has a VIA HD Audio onboard sound. Well the sound quality is brilliant, but whenever I change tracks it pops and clicks before the song plays. It only happens when I change tracks though, not when it gets to the end of a song. Help?

whats your computer specs try closing all of the programs in the background and just playing the song
try using a different media player
are any of the songs currupt
download new codecs drivers etc
all the new updates for your mobo and comptuer

Core 2 Duo 1.8GHz Each
1Gb DDR2 Ram
250Gb HDD
Geforce 7300SE

Tried new drivers and updates, closed all services and running programs. Still not making a difference. Currently installing a different soundcard to try that.
