Cloning fm internal to external

Im trying to clone my HDD to my external HDD someone with experience that can share that info would be greatly appreciated. Im doing this so i can migrate to internal HDD in raid 0 if im saying that right. and help with that would also be appreciated.

right now im dealing with non raid but i cant do anything without first figuring out that cloning thing i been reading it up but everyone is saying different things which is confusing me.
 
You can't clone a drive into a raid array especially if its gonna be your boot drive. You will have to do a fresh install of windows.
 
I un-striped a stripe once using Ubuntu and dd (command-line bit by bit copying software). One of the two drives was failing. I managed to get a desktop, but it'd reboot soon after. I think it might have worked if the drives were in better shape ;)
