Every once in a while when I play CoD2 I'll get wierd sparatic spikes that point in towards the screen. They are very quick and range in size from barely noticable to a few inches of the monitor in the widest places. They only flicker quickly and I dont get this all the time. It doesnt always happen in the same place either its very random.

Anybody know if its a game, software or hardware issue??

Thanks for any help :)

Right now im running 1.2 version of CoD2 and system specs as follows

MSI Neo2 865e plantinum mobo
Intel Pentium 4 2.8ghz prescott HT 800mhz FSB
1 gig Mushkin Advanced DDR400 low latency RAM Dual Channel
ATI X1600pro 512mb DDR3 AGP 8x
Windows XP SP2
Directx 9.0c
ATI Catalyst 6.6 Video Drivers

dont double post, that only gets you hated around here. Now onto your problem. I would start by reinstalling your graphics drivers, then reinstall the game, if it still happens then check you gfx card isnt overheating

Sorry for double posting... Internet explorer kinda halted on me and i clicked post twice.

Reinstalled my video drivers and am still getting the issue. It cant be heat cause i dont get these issues on Oblivion on my gpu gets easily 2-6 degrees hotter on that game than cod2.

CoD2 is the only game ive seen this happen on my system.

Lol, dont worry about it, there is a delete option if you go into EDIT on your posts, you can delte them from there. Back to yourquestion though, have you tried reinstalling the game, because it sounds very isolated and not very "system wide" if you get what i mean

It seems to be happening to a LOT of people on IE recently. I wonder if its a glitch with the new stuff on the forum. Possibly with a outdated IE or certain OS.
