COD4 Not Opening

Alright, so I purchased and fully downloaded Call of Duty 4 through Steam, I try launching Call of Duty, and then tried Call of Duty 4 Multiplayer. The 'Launching Game' window appeared, and wouldn't go away. So, I restarted, same problem.

I know, but that sub-forum specializes in Call of Duty 4 purchased on Steam, so I thought they may be a bit more helpful then us.

Really no luck, on the Steam Forum, or from the COD4 Forum.

Do you have a microphone? Even if its not a headset..just like a stage mic and an adapter would work....

If so, then plug it in, and it [COD4 MP] should work. Don't ask me why...I have no clue...all I know is that my MP wouldn't work until I plugged a mic in. (Credit: Some guy a few weeks ago on a different forum).

Worth a try.
