Codec Problem

OK, I have this video file I would like to play and have tried it on Real and WMP. It says it needs codec so i downloaded it and unzipped it. But now what? Ive tried to play the file again but it still says I need codec. Whats going on?

u have to put the codec file in the correct destination if u install them manually.

All i have done is unzipped it.
There is not much in there

I got the codec from

Which i found from the WMP.
does voxare metasound ring a bell?
