hi, i have bought call of duty 1 pc(bcuz all it can play)(laptop getting replaced)
but when it is loaded it says"human interface version 7, requires 8."

I had a few problems with cod 1 when i had it, try uninstalling then reinstalling and rather than going straight into the game restart your computer. I know it sounds trivial but it sorted a million problems out for me.

Also make sure your video adapter drivers are upto date as well as dx
