Cold Cathode Tubes

hmm.. no manufacturer mentionned.. i wouldnt trust them further as I could toss them tbh :o I have some CoolerMaster Cathodes in my pc ( red/pink-ish ofc :P ) and they are holding great. (ofcourse, these could work for quite a wile.. i just dont know since i cant seem to find a brand name there, and for the price I dont excpect too much tbh

Yeah, there isn't any manufacturers mentioned, but all the reviews say that they're awesome, and there's 400+ reviews. I think I may give them a go considering the price...

Is it worth getting some, are they any good?

Even thought it says COLD cathode tubes, they still get very hot and can heat up your case. But if you have good cooling and a big case then I'd go for it, they'd look pretty sweet.

I had these, as long as your aware their not as bright as the image shows. Another thing is they involve loads of cables, and comes with little transformer unit with a switch. I removed mine due to limited light output and the cables.

i had 4 of them in a prescott once! boy was it hot

Do they produce that much heat?
The reviews on the one I've linked to say they don't produce heat.

Why don't you have them anymore? Are they worth it?

INTELCRAZY, Are the LEDS much better?

I've used cold cathodes in my PC's, and IMO they are bright, especially at night. They get warm, but dont produce as much heat as a regular light bulb.

I have a few, and if you touch them, mine are just slightly warm enough to notice, but definitely not hot. 400+ people can't be wrong... go for it.

Cathode's are great, nice and bright and evenly lights the case. However, when they get old, they sometimes starts to ring, which gets VERY annoying, especially if your case is quiet.
