Color issues with new monitor

This week I bought a new monitor (Acer S202HL), but I've been having some issues with colors like yellow, bright green, etc. appearing to be too bright. I've downloaded the driver/ ICC profile from Acer, run the calibration software that came with the monitor, even upgraded by ATI chipset driver, but nothing made any difference. I'm thinking that it's simply the ATI Radeon Xpress 200 not being good enough, but I don't know enough about this sort of thing to be certain.

Try connecting your old monitor and also try using the new monitor with another source.
This will help you figure out the problem
 
The old monitor worked fine right before I hooked up the new one. I'll try the other computer, but it's about the same age as this one.
