Colour schemes for OS'

Hey which OS uses the black and orange skin theme?

And is there a way to customise them to your own colours without having to go from xp to windows 98?

I want a red and black theme if so :D
 
Set the desktop to one color and the 3d items for another. You can do that in Vista as well as XP and previous versions of Windows as part of the display and appearance settings.
 
Tried but failed :(

All that changed was when i minimized and such it didn't change the start menu or the bar at the bottom :(

Eh i'll try and find the scheme i want from some site
 
The defaults in Windows itself should work even before seeing the video card's software and drivers go on. The two screens here while in Vista if you are running XP will show how the itemsl are changed basically the same way in the newer version.



 
Ah there we go :)

Took a little bit to work out...had to download the sevice pack 3 changing tool thingy in the end...now if my comp behaves i'll post a screenshot of my new desktop scheme with some windows open and such :D

The one thing noticed about Vista over XP was when browsing for something other then the default wallpapers that come with the new version. Once you simply click on any image file there's no longer any need to follow that would the apply button.



Whamo! instant change from the previous. And SP3 does seem to clean up a few problems seen with XP.
 
The drastic difference in appearance for the most part there is simply from having the Classic Windows theme seen in those while Jamsandwich is using the default XP theme. At least he was able to get the setting changes he wanted there.
