I'm not too great with computers so please hang in here with me. I was wondering if its possible to link two of my old desktops together so they split the processes between the two. (Not too sure how to word that) If you need clarification, please just ask. Thanks in advance
I'd imagine it would be software specific, for example most 3D modeling software's renderers support the use of multiple computers in order to render an image or a sequence of images faster.
What kind of software are you looking for? Only advantages I can see in distributing the load of a process to another computer would be encoding videos or rendering animations.
So distributing the processes between the two would make it faster, no?
