command and conquer 4

another game to clog my hard drive.... lol
I love command and conquer, but they've gone downhill since Red Alert 2 IMHO.
Generals and Zero Hour are fun.
Tiberium Wars lacks any form of decent music.
havent played RA3.

My opinion as well. It's still a great game and the experience is even better now when I can play it at almost any resolution and not have to worry about the computer struggling.

My all time favourite was generals and zero hour, the online play seemed way more fun than tiberium wars and RA3.

i didn't like RA2 all that much. I think after retaliation it started going down hill (yea that is going back some :P)

Saying that, i really really liked C&C 3

and by the way, there is an official site for all of this ;)

personally, i really didn't care for red alert 3, the japenese i just really don't care for, and they turned the mirage tank into something i really don't understand, the athena cannon is stupid overpowered, along with the japenese schoolgirl

I have all the Red Alerts (1, 2 and 3) and I love them all. Although just remember 3 was made by EA instead of Westwood so it was new to them. But I'm still a huge fan of the game.

Tiberium Sun was also a great game of theirs. Haven't played Generals though

All of the EA made games are no where near as good as the Westwood ones... Red Alert 2 is the best C&C game by a long way :)

Generals is an ok game...tis different to all other C&C's

It isn't like EA started brand new with no experience, they bought out Westwood, that doesn't meant they got the name and scrapped all the buildings, workers, ideas etc, it was still made by the people of Westwood, but under the name EA if you get me :P There was probably a fair bit of input from new EA people, but it is still mostly people that were involved in the original series made by Westwood

RA2 was my favorite. I bought Tiberium Wars but only played it a bit. I wasn't ever a fan of the tiberium theme. General was a great game, though initially i didn't like it (used to playing Red Alert and RA2 my whole life.)
RA3 was the most anticipated game on my list for awhile, then i played it, and it was way too campy, it like, overcamped the normal RA world. I didn't like it that much.

Yeah thats what I meant, just didn't word it so well:D. It's like when car companys buy out other car companies. Porshe didn't change their name to Volkswagen.

They did very well with making 3 imo. Graphics, movies, sounds are all equally smart and funny. :P

smart no, but funny deffinately :P

They tried to get an "all star" cast which is a bunch of B and C list celebrities and the look of it all was crap because of the piss poor sets and costumes, it did make me laugh quite a bit though how bad most of it looked at cutscenes

RA2 was pretty good, I think that was the last one before the franchise was bought by EA. I think EA did well with Generals, but everything since then has been going downhill. I don't really have high hopes for this one.

Isn't that kind of a Red Alert trademark? Extraordinarily lame cut scenes, I mean.

Yeah I'm not really a huge fan of the cut scenes, especially in RA3 where they were extra cheesy. Does anyone else find online play with RA3 really buggy? As in when waiting in the lobby and switching between the lobbies, just randomly being disconnected. Oh and waiting aaages to find a game?

Generals and zero hour never had this problem for me.
