Common problem?? HELP

The other day my computer froze, and when I reboot it it froze again. THEN it wont boot to Windows anymore... I was able to boot to safe mode and ran device manager. I had no error messages in device manager.

I took out each of my video cards one at a time to see if they were the problems...nothing. Same with sound card.

Now it seems stuck in a loop where it loads windows then restarts and keeps going over and over. I can't get it in safe more or normal.

NOW...I reinstalled windows vista on my main hdd and WOW! my computer works fine....for about 2 hours...then same loop of not being able to start.

So I go and get a new primary hdd and install windows on it and WOW! it works again for 2 hours before same thing....

What could be causing this problem?? I also ran a memory check with no errors.

replace the battery on the motherboard. i would do that. Likely a 2032.
likely an older computer.

Are you shutting the computer down properly? Just killing the power switch will cause errors on the hard drive.

How long did you run a memory test, and which memory test? memtest86+ can need a good overnight run to find any errors.

http://www.memtest.org/

Go there and download the latest ISO. burn to a disc on a machine that doesn't have problems (as bad memory can cause issues with burning) and let the test run continuously overnight. If you find any errors in the morning, make sure the memory is running at rated speed/timings/voltage - if it is, it's faulty memory.

UPDATE:

i replaced the battery to no avail, all my fans are working and computer is not overheating.

Computer will now SOMETIMES boot into safemode. I am so sick of this
