Hello everyone how are you
I've gotten rid of windows 7, and installed windows 8 64bit on my laptop.
Been using comodo firewall and MSE on windows 7.
In Windows 8, the windows defender is good enough for me, but the firewall still sucks!
I don't want the firewall to decide on it's own which application to let thru and which to block. I want my firewall to ask me what to do, every time an application attempts to connect, and remember my choice so that it won't ask me for the same application again. This is non negotiable, I want my firewall to ask me even for routine applications, like "firefox is attempting to connect, allow or deny?".
I could easily set this up by using the "Custom policy mode" of comodo firewall. However, i cannot install comodo in windows 8, i get a popup "this program has known compatibility issues with this edition of windows" and the installer quits.
So then, I've got 2 questions..
1>Is there a version of comodo compatible with win 8 pro x64? If yes then could you please provide a download link? i got http://antivirus.comodo.com/windows-8/ but every time i click on download, i get a 404 not found error.
2>Is there a way to activate the custom policy mode in the inbuilt windows firewall?
