comp issues

so my internal harddrive took a poop so i switched to a new internal harddrive but when i went to turn the comp on my lcd screen started up then turned off less than a second later... could it have something to do with my motherboard?

Check to make sure all your connections are tight, most likely you loosened something when you put the hard drive in.

i think its the motherboard since all my mice, keyboards, and monitors that i have used turn on for a second then turns off...

reset the CMOS, see if that changes anything.
