Comp problem

I had linux installed on my comp and one day when i turned it on, it entered the linux and then just freezed, after i restarted it, it couldn't detect my HDD. Im sure the HDD is working properly because i tested it on my other comp.

What can be the problem?????

Check IDE or SATA cable, and check the power cable.
If both of them are good, then check bios see if you disable the pri ide.
