Comp restarts on me

I recently got a new video card, I had a 9800 pro, and I moved to an radeon x850pro, for some reason when I open something like counterstriek source, after a few seconds, the computer reboots itself. I know its getting enough power, so im guessing its a sriver problem. Ideas?


XP sp2
amd athlon xp
x850 pro
1 gig ram
 
Sorry, I have to ask this question to be sure: Did you put in the auxilary power conector for the video card? Are you running the latest drivers?
 
download latest drivers for your card, update your BIOS. Also make sure your system meets the minimum requirement.
 
Yeah, I attached the power cable to the card... and I tried teh drivers on the cd it came with and also the ones off the ati site. I also feel its a power problem... but I dont know, theres got to be some driver or setting wrong, what about the fact this thing had a 9800 pro that died in it before?
 
I know my system meets the standerds.. I gets 180 + fps for a good 20 seconds till the computer reboots, iv tried the drivers like 8 times..
 
What power suply do you have? Since there's no blue screen it just reboots I think its a power issue. If its a prebuilt comp than look at the sticker on the power suply and tell us the voltage and +12 V amps.
