Comp stops while gaming!

CPU: AMD Athlon 64 3000+ 2.0ghz (not overclocked)
M/B: MSI K8N Neo Platinum NVIDIA® nForce3 250Gb Chipset
RAM: 1 Gb Samsumg
VIDEO: Prolink GeForce 6600 (not overclocked)
HDD: SATA Samsung 80Gb

when i installed need for speed MW i lunche it on 800X600 res. when game starts (not menu i mean after loading) my computer stops and every 15 seconds it comes back for 2 seconds and stops again it continues until i turn off power. as it seems my HDD is stoping i don't know why, but on low res. 640x480 and low details is works. HELP!
 
now i got codgen 400watx PSU 400W max as i know gonna try it today when i get home :)

i'm from georgia (tbilisi) and here is't beter PSUz now! :eek:

now i got it's 300w max +12v@18A
newone PSU codgen 400watx got +12v1@16A and +12v2@18A
i'm not sure that my mobo has +12V2:eek: can i remake my new PSU? or i should chang it? :confused:

That 400W PSU should be fine. The +12V2 ust means that the PSU has 2 lines for the 12V power. In PSU's generally speaking the higher the amperage on the +12v (or line1 + line2 = total amperage of +12v).

hmmmm i used my new PSU but problem still presents... can it be something else? anyway i'm gonna chang new PSU to single line PSU +12v... i really doute that it's genereting more than 18A on necessary line cuz i spoke with man who really knows electrinics act. and he told me that there is 2 independent "generators" for each line :o or can i chack it somehow? 10x 4 attention :o

How are the temps? There could be some throttleage

if u dont understand i'll show u.. look there's my mobo it has 1 +12V line 4p conector to use my new dual +12V PSU there must be 2 +12V lines, both 4p conectors or 1 4p and 1 8p if my mobo supports XEON thech. so what i been sayin can i remack my dual +12v PSU into singleline +12V. ???

Huh? Just because you have a ATX12 connector doesnt mean you're PSU is using or even has dual rails.... consider for instance, classic Pentium4 motherboards which featured those connectors as well as single rail PSUs featuring the ATX12 connector .. :)
 
Dual rails is an internal PSU thing it has nothing to do with the connectors that come from the PSU. If that PSU has the ATX12 connector and the 20/24 pin main connector you can use it with your motherboard, it's that simple.

I didn't think CODEGEN made a PSU that was more than $30 bucks tho...

Lucky. My PSU come with case suxxors.

:eek: oh i guessed what u mean :D i thought that my ATX12 connector is using +12V that's why i was sain' that my mobo don't support +12V2 :D great 10x
