comp wont boot windows

k so i just transfered my old computer to a differn't case, and now the computet wont work, it wont boot window,it says, :disk boot failure insert system disk and press enter:, tried to put a bootable xp cd in but it doesn' boot the intstaller. when i put in the xp disc it ask if i want to start in safe mode or start up normaly, but when i choose either one it just freezes, anybody know wuts up?? hd connected wrong?, the bios says it there is a hd, the boot order is right and what not, i dont understand
 
Check your optical drive cables. Make sure they are all in place. Make sure it boots from the cd.
