i have a dell vostro 400, and everything was fine until a couple days ago when i tried to hibernate it, i clicked hibernate and it didn't do anything. so i clicked standby and it didn't do anything either. then i clicked shut down and it did. any suggestions on what the problem could be?

Could be a great manner of things, most of which aren't problems.

I'm thinking it's something along the lines of Windows update, programs just taking a while to shut down, or a lot of stuff to close/scan. If you left it for a couple more minutes, then this might give us more information. I'm just inclined to think it's running slowly.

it's running fine, but when i finally got it to hibernate, i turned it back on and the screen was all messed up and it said that the video card driver wasnt working properly, this happened to me like 3 times already. ??
